Attending: Maggie Myers, Beth Culbertson, Becky Pepiot, Jim Funkhouser,
Truman Bashore, Cathy Barrow
1. The meeting was called to order by Maggie Myers. The purpose for the meeting was outlined.
2. Contacting students via email concerning their academic alerts was discussed. While web advisor cannot be used for this activity, it is possible to utilize Liquid Matrix for group emails. Dennis Myers is looking at this possibility and will contact Maggie later this summer.
3. The new alert process was discussed.
4. Where do we go from here?

It was suggested that we look at how many of those students successfully completed the class.

Was the number of FUW’s less than last spring?

Do a comparison of the FUW’s received in fall to spring or spring to spring if able. Maggie will work with Becky Telford to find this information.

We should continue the current process and re-evaluate next spring.

Academic deans/supervisors need to encourage all faculty to participate in early alert process. Perhaps Deans could remind faculty in the fall of the new alert procedures.

Committee will meet in the late fall (before Thanksgiving) to touch base about how the fall alert process went.
