Brainstorming - Outsider Access:
1. Simple: * Fixed number of accounts that work study students log
them in; limit to one login
* Controlled by group policies and Active Directory
2. * Limited number of accounts (static) but password will change
every day.
Student worker would enable and reset passwords for a limited time
work in
* Student workers capable of doing some admin
Current Progress on Test areas:
1. Deleted WebAdvisor accounts for Faculty – 1 minute
2. Deleted WebAdvisor accounts for Staff – 2 hours
3. Deleted WebAdvisor accounts for Students – 4 ½ hours
4. Discussion last week with Datatel re: how the WebAdvisor
login-creation processes use full names, preferred names and
nicknames
5. Preparing list for Enrollment Services to make name corrections
in Datatel to be compliant with the WebAdvisor login-creation
processes
6. Reset WebAdvisor parameters to use new naming convention
7. Will be creating some test logins for students, staff & faculty
this week
8. Will queue the process that generates the .csv files so Harry
Lawhorn and Chuck Steel can pick up the list it creates for loading
into the Active Directory Test area
