Celebrate Successes
Unity (voice mail) was upgraded. That was necessary before mailboxes
can be moved to Exchange2007.
New Items
Q: Paragraph 5 of the LAN Agreement was changed to comply with the
language in the ESEA contract.
A: This was announced with little discussion.
Q: Announce the upgrade to Unity on the 6th of April.
A: See Celebrate successes.
Q: Blackboard password questions.
A: U.C. will ignore the password that the current scripts create in
.csv files for U.C. and use the new unified password instead.
Q: Blackboard logins will already be loaded before we change to the
new login naming convention
A: Is U.C. going to replace or rename BlackBoard accounts? Harry
will find out. He will also verify that they are ready to create
3000 new accounts. Has Cece thought about the May summer class and
their BlackBoard Accounts? – Dan to Check
Q: Printing: Visitors & Students
A: Nathan brought up the issue of controlling the amount of printing
that is going on because it excessive. He will bring back cost
information and explore using Xerox. We agreed that visitors will
not be able to print unless we can find a way for them to pay per
print.
Q: ACA Computer access
A: Dan will talk to Darlene for clarification.
Follow Up on Items from previous meetings:
Q: Has ToolWare given us a quote on creating a check box on the
Webpage where a student or employee “acknowledges and accepts the
terms of the Edison LAN agreement and/or the Student Computer Usage
Policy?”
A: That will happen this week.
Q: Update on Student HelpDesk Committee
A: There will be a HelpDesk CQI Team meeting this week.
Q: Everyone at Edison Guidelines update
A: Not available.
