A. Give this Action Project a short title in 10 words or
fewer:
Formalize processes for securing and utilizing
stakeholder inputs.
B. Describe this Action Project's goal in 100 words or fewer:
In response to our Systems Portfolio Feedback Report, Edison needs to formalize its processes for securing
stakeholder input. Included in this Action Project will be assigning
responsibility for securing data, establishing frequency of data requests,
determining accountability, and specifying process steps, including the
aggregating and analyzing of data.
C. Identify the single AQIP Category which the Action
Project will most affect or impact:
Primary Category: Understanding Students' and Other Stakeholders'
Needs
D. Describe briefly your
institution's reasons for taking on this Action Project now -- why the
project and its goals are high among your current priorities:

Edison has multiple
input strategies for stakeholders, and many are utilized in a cyclic
fashion. There is no established process to be followed by those securing
input to aggregate and analyze data, nor how data is used to drive change
within the college. A better college-wide process needs to be deployed in
order to have continuity of practice and to gain full benefit of the
information gleaned from the various listening strategies.
E. List the organizational
areas - -institutional departments, programs, divisions, or units -- most
affected by or involved in this Action Project:
All areas of college will be impacted.
F. Name and describe
briefly the key organizational process(es) that
you expect this Action Project to change or improve:
Securing data through surveys of various college
departments and committees, advisory committee input, program review
processes, and CQI process teams.
G. Explain the rationale for
the length of time planned for this Action Project (from kickoff to target
completion):
We believe we can study, develop, and implement
processes for consistent stakeholder input and the use of the data within
the next 9 months.
H. Describe how you plan to
monitor how successfully your efforts on this Action Project are
progressing:
Edison will design and
deploy a process for gaining, interpreting, and using data from stakeholder
input strategies. Once a process is established, data can be compared with
other organizations to help in our target setting for continuous quality
improvement.
I. Describe the overall "outcome" measures or
indicators that will tell you whether this Action Project has been a
success or failure in achieving its goals:
If data is available for use throughout the college and
is used to drive positive change, the project will have been successful.
Specific targets for improvement will be set by the team after other aspects
of the project have been defined and completed.
