Head Coach Carrie Snider-Dearth
Coach
Snider-Dearth enters her second season as Edison’s Head Volleyball
Coach. Carrie’s first season was truly magical and amazing! In
Edison’s only second year of competition, she led her team to a 28-7
record, winning the NJCAA Division III Region XII and District G
Championships. Coach Snider-Dearth then led the Lady Chargers to
the schools first NJCAA National Tournament where Edison finished as
Division III National Runner-Up. Additionally, Coach Snider-Dearth
was awarded Coach of the Year for Region XII and District G.
Before Carrie accepted the
position as Edison’s Head Volleyball Coach, Carrie served as an
assistant volleyball coach at UD where she helped lead the
volleyball team to an Atlantic 10 Championship and an invitation to
the NCAA Tournament.
Carrie played her college
volleyball at the University of Dayton where she currently holds the
record for most “digs” in a single season. In Coach Snider-Dearth’s
senior year she captained the team and played a huge role in leading
UD to its first Atlantic Ten Championship. That year UD also earned
a berth to the NCAA Tournament where the Flyers upset heavily
favored Michigan State in the first round of play.
Carrie’s foundation of
volleyball and winning came from her high school years where she
played for Mount Notre Dame and won two state championships.
This past spring Carrie
reached another milestone in her life when she married Chris
Dearth. The happily married couple resides together in Kettering.
