Theater Performance Degree

Program Outcomes:

The student will:

  1. Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills;
     
  2. Analyze text for character interpretation;
     
  3. Demonstrate technical skills before an audience;
     
  4. Practice decision making and problem solving skills in rehearsal and during the stress of performance;
     
  5. Research great performers and production styles and apply theories to their own work;
     
  6. Practice ensemble work;
     
  7. Research customs, speech, mannerisms from different eras and locations and apply to current productions;
     
  8. Apply considerations of race, gender, class and religion to issues in current productions;
     
  9. Identify copyright issues.
