You've Got Mail Edison Student Email/Network Accounts New Summer 2007-2008 Beginning May 29, 2008

• Each student will be provided with an “edisonohio.edu” email account and data storage area.  The edisonohio.edu email address will be the ONLY email address for ALL official college communication.  The new edisonohio.edu email address will replace all personal email addresses currently housed in Datatel and in Blackboard.  
   

• Each student, will have ONE Username and ONE password to log into network accounts which includes college email, Blackboard and WebAdvisor.  This will be new for everyone!
   

• For example, your individual User ID (login) will be [astudent] or [aemployee].  (Digits added in case of same names. e.g., astudent123). 
    

• Your email address will be your User ID followed by “@edisonohio.edu”. [astudent@edisonohio.edu] or [aemployee@edisonohio.edu]
   

• Each individual will be required to know their employee/student ID number as it will be replacing social security number usage in most cases.  Your employee ID number is printed on your paystubs or can be obtained by contacting the HR office.  Students can obtain their student ID number from class schedules,  billing statements, financial aid information and will be printed on Student ID Cards at time of registration.
   

• Regardless if you currently have an Edison network account, EVERYONE will be required to activate their User Account by ENROLLING or RE-ENROLLING their new user account information by using the Password Management Systerm (SSRPM) Hard copy information will also be located in the Students Services area, Faculty Support and the Library.  
   

• Everyone must use their Edison email accounts and the college will no longer use the generic [student/Edison] classroom login, each login will be unique and secure.  THIS CHANGE BEGINS ON MONDAY, JUNE 9^TH.
   

• This change DOES NOT affect  ConnectWeb or TLE.  Please continue to use your same login and password when accessing these systems.
