Comparative Religious Studies
Comparative Religious Studies explores the religious
dimensions of life and culture through the study of myth,
symbol, ritual and doctrine. REL121 World Religions is not
affiliated with any particular religion as the discipline of
Comparative Religious Studies views all religions as equal
and valid.
Instructor: Loleta Collins, MA
Short Bio: Instructor Collins comes from a background
of World History and Comparative Religious Studies. In her
studies, she has spent considerable time studying indigenous
cultures, their history and their religious traditions. She
has tied this knowledge in to her studies of contemporary
American society. Her Master’s degree is in Comparative
Religious Studies and her field of expertise is the societal
origins of NeoPagan religions in the United States.
