PHLEBOTOMY
Short Term Technical Certificate

The phlebotomist is a member of the health care team that deals directly with the patient obtaining blood samples for laboratory analysis.  Phlebotomists are trained to collect blood and other biological samples using a variety of equipment and techniques.  Attention to detail, good inter-personal communication skills and compassion are important characteristics of a good phlebotomist.
