Associate of Science (AS) Degree - 60 semester hours
The Associate of Science degree parallels the first two years of a Bachelor of Science program. It can help prepare students for many different careers in physical science, natural science, business or mathematics. Depending on electives chosen, the AS program leads to four-year programs in such fields as biology, business, chemistry, physics, engineering, computer and information science, mathematics, pre-medicine, nursing, physical therapy, electronics, accounting, and many similar majors.
Students following a transfer curriculum are strongly encouraged to plan their courses with the assistance of a faculty advisor and with respect to the specific program requirements of the transfer institution. Efficient transfer requires careful planning. Changing programs or transfer institutions may complicate the transfer process.
