WHY NOT EDISON?
Over the past few years some of my friends in the Dayton area questioned my sanity for attending Edison Community College in Piqua, especially when I live only five miles from Sinclair Community College.
After retiring from the military in 1985, I wanted to pursue a career in Business Management and in 1986 enrolled at Sinclair. I left in 1989 and went into business for myself. In 1998 I decided to change careers and wanted to obtain a degree in the Human Service Field. My first recollections of Sinclair centered on the parking problems, overcrowded classrooms, and the treks from a class in building #1 to the next class in building #10, in less than the 15 minutes allotted.
After doing some research, I decided to attend Edison. I did not want the hectic pace offered at Sinclair at this stage of life. I enjoyed the commute from Dayton and was able to schedule classes that would limit my required days to no more than three. I like the campus arrangement and the people at Edison are the greatest, even in the dreaded cafeteria.
I would not hesitate to recommend Edison to anyone interested in furthering his or her education. It provided exactly what I was looking for.
