Education
This program of study is intended
for students who wish to pursue a baccalaureate
degree in the field of teaching early childhood,
middle school, high school, or special education.
The two-year degree will serve as sixty or more
semester credits that will apply towards a
baccalaureate degree.
Students intending to enroll
in pre-education degree may select from either the
Associate of AArts or the Associate of Science
degrees depending upon the concentration of teaching
the student intends as a focus in a four-year
institution. The two-year degree at Edison includes
four courses to to be used as electives. These
courses have a teaching focus that can be used in
the baccalaureate education degree. These

To establish the correct
degree, either AA or AS and the appropriate use of
the courses listed above, the student will transfer
the associate of arts or science degree. The
student should first meet with an Edison academic
advisor who can provide the appropriate registration
information and contacts for the baccalaureate
program.
