Criminal Justice Degree/Computer Forensics
Option
The Computer Forensics Option is a two-year
program combining criminal justice with network and computer
security. Students will take courses to prepare them to
detect illegal network acts and learn how to obtain and ready
evidence for prosecution of criminal acts.

justice program outcomes, the student will:

The student will:
- Appreciate the value of general
education in any criminal justice environment;

- Develop proficiency in carrying out
the skills required of a criminal justice officer;
- Use current knowledge of criminal
justice practices to meet the demands of the work
environment;

requirements of the criminal justice profession;

interpersonal skills as a part of the criminal justice team

- Examine the tools used for security
penetration assessment and forensics analysis;
- Utilize the tools for penetration
assessment and forensics analysis;
- Analyze and develop processes and
procedures to secure vulnerabilities and report forensics
findings;
- Demonstrate an understanding of both
technical and non-technical methods used for security
penetration and espionage;
- Demonstrate an ability to
successfully perform penetration analysis and forensics
analysis, develop proper reports of the findings and
appropriately present the reports.
