High School Students
The privilege of early admission may be granted to high
school students who have demonstrated appropriate ability or special
talent. They also must be recommended in writing by a high school
official. These special students can enroll for a maximum of nine (9)
credit hours of course work in any academic semester and a maximum of
six (6) credit hours in a summer session. The earned college credits
are held in "escrow" until the students complete their high school
programs. Contact the Edison Admissions Office for additional

Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program
Eligible high school students who elect to participate in the
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) and who meet the
admissions criteria as outlined by the Ohio Board of Regents, and
Edison Community College may attend Edison. Students will be
required to submit an application for admission to the program and a
high school transcript. Students may participate in a skills
assessment and an orientation. Contact a high school counselor
of the Edison Admissions office for additional information.
Transfer Students
An applicant who has entered any other college(s) must have
official* grade transcripts from each college attended sent to the
Enrollment Services Office immediately upon making application.
It is the student's responsibility to have transcripts sent to
Edison. For additional information on academic probation,
suspension and admission, please refer to the
Edison Community College
catalog.
*Official transcripts are those certified and mailed by the issuing
institution directly to Edison Community College.
Financial aid students also are required to have financial aid
transcripts sent to Edison's Office of Student Financial Aid.
Financial aid transcripts are required from all colleges attended,
whether or not the student received aid. Other required forms are

Transient Student Status
Transient students who regularly attend another
college are welcome to apply for admission and enroll at Edison for
additional credits. The home college should be consulted on
course selections to insure the courses satisfy program
requirements.
International Students (International

F-1 (VISA CATEGORY) STUDENTS
Edison is authorized by the federal government to enroll F-1
students. Students seeking this immigration status must meet
the admission requirements of other Edison students and will also be
required to provide proof of proficiency with the English language
(500 on TOEFL, for example) and proof of sufficient funding to meet
all expenses for the duration of their enrollment at Edison.

OTHER VISA CATEGORIES
Aliens in the United States with a visa category other than F-1
(and their dependents) may enroll in Edison (unless their visa
category specifically prohibits study). These students are not
subject to the restrictions listed for students seeking the F-1
category; they may pay non-resident fees. English as Second
Language (ESL) instruction is available at Edison through our ENG
085D (College Language Development) classes. For more
